Design notes for this season
Increased durability, flexibility and a reduction in weight were the three things we looked to improve with this model.
We have revised the design from the ground up with an improved fit, ease of entry and enlarged paddle panels for greater range of motion and restriction free surfing.
We know there's not a lot of point making an enviro-suit if it were to end up in landfill after a couple of years. We've offset all major seam joins to reduce stress on seam junctions and re-enforced all seam ends, double blind-stitched seams rather then single blind-stitch and have changed the smoothy panels to a new higher stretch more abrasion resistant, textured skin.
This wetsuit has been designed and constructed with meticulous attention to detail and quality you can feel. Hand made from premium neoprene-free Hevea® rubber and recycled fabrics.
The chest and back feature Thermal Chamber™ panels. Two hydrophobic layers line either side of the chambers creating a thermal gap, which expands and contracts with varying temperatures. We have positioned these panels to maximise exposure to the sun, triggering activation of the thermal chambers which passively heats the suit.
A high pile 100% recycled polypropylene lining has been used throughout the suit, offering a lighter, warmer, faster drying lining with great stretch, that naturally refuses water giving the wetsuit very little wet to dry weigh variance.
Our high stretch and highly durable Infinity 2.0™ Taping is featured throughout the suit for optimum paddling range of movement. It features a silk textured outer layer and is laminated by a heating process rather than glue giving an increase of 20% more stretch than glued taping. It sits depressed rather than on top of the bonded material for added comfort and prevention of rash.
An anatomical 9 panel pattern has been used in the layout of the suit to maximise uninhibited paddling flow.
All external seams feature Fluid taping, a high stretch rubber compound which prevents water seepage whilst re-enforcing the seam for greater longevity.
Glide-skin neck and cuffs, waterproof zipper and internal gasket, multi-stretch (2nd gen) cuffs and triple glued and blind-stitched seams all feature to ensure maximum warmth and comfort.
Featuring from head to toe, our innovative Wick Dry Technology (WDT) external fibre causing the water to literally bead off the suit replacing the need for smooth skin. WDT does not contain the fragile qualities of smooth skin, making it highly durable and has a lower wet weight, meaning the suit is lighter in the water due to not absorbing water into the neoprene, keeping you warmer for longer.
All our suits are produced in limited quantities
